National Park Cancun

Whilst I was was looking into sculptures I came across a National park in Cancun that has a great underwater museum. As part of a family attraction, the underwater museum also has a museum above levels. But the underwater sculptures really are fascinating. The name of the project is called ‘The Silent Evolution’ and contains over 400 sculptures all created by Jason deCaires Taylor.

The sculptures are accessible in many different ways. Either through snorkeling or glass bottoms. where piers will be able to view through. but the best way to view the beauty is through scuba diving.

The primary purpose of the sculpture garden is environmental. The sculptures are made from a special concrete that’s PH neutral and anti-corrosive. The idea being that the sculptures will eventually form artificial corals and support a variety of marine life. They are very interesting to view and are incredibly realistic.
